Ramos also sent a poster to “The Unconventional” gathering place, to be distributed during the Republican National Convention in Minneapolis, MN.

-Possibly a “period sound” lies somewhere dormant.

-Utilize a mark-making process.
-Define location.
-Embrace the usage of props.
-Stumble upon language.
-Architecture is your friend.

Bio

Vincent Ramos (b. 1973, Santa Monica, CA) received his B.F.A. from Otis College of Art and Design in 2002 and his M.F.A. from The California Institute of the Arts in 2007. He has had solo exhibitions at The Mini Wrong Gallery @ LAXART (2007), Sixteen:One Gallery in Santa Monica (2005) and 4-F Gallery in Los Angeles (2002). Group exhibitions include Fast Forward-Curated by Simon Watson, Brentwood Country Mart (2007); Always, Already, Passe, Gavin Brown’s Enterprise @ Passerby, New York (2004) and London Is Balling, The Bart Wells Institute, London (2002). He will have a solo exhibition in 2008 at Pawnshop Gallery in Westwood, curated by Natilee Harren. He lives and works in Los Angeles.
